Cry Havoc is 4 men with a wide variety of tastes in heavy music who have come together with an arsenal of high calibre weaponry to forge a shit storm of burly riffs into a new heavy sound.  It’s all original material and it sounds like no-one else.  It was called ‘Mastodonian prog/doom’ by one reviewer, and that comes close to describing the sound.

Music

The band has been joined as a combat unit for 7 years and stomps around playing an original formulation of heavy, guitar driven music which fuses the most compelling elements of hard rock and metal, with lyrics that deal with the darker side of human history and the problems of troubled conscience. 

Experience

Cry Havoc is a seasoned live outfit, and is powerful and dynamic on stage.  The band has played a large number of good quality gigs around SE Qld for 4 years (the Step Inn (Inferno), Rosies (Monstrothic and Metal of Honour), Globe Theatre, Jubilee Hotel, Barsoma, Springwood Tavern, Prince of Wales Hotel and the Miami Shark Bar) with some of the heavy hitters of the Australian metal scene.  The band has headlined on many occasions. 

Recording

The band recorded a 5 track EP with Nik Carpenter at Core Studios in

2009.  That EP, entitled Red Mist, received a glowing review in Brisbane’s Rave Magazine.  The band completed its 10 track CD Incursion in early 2012.  We are gearing up for further recording in early 2014.
