THE NUREMBERG CODE

This Melbournian band is a raw cocktail of Metal and Hardcore with some really catchy grooves.
This clip for 'A Language for friends', looks like it has been done on a significant budget. Dark and confronting, this precursor to thier upcoming album suggests big things just around the corner.

Desecrator line-up changes

After 5 years of thrashing together Desecrator tonight say goodbye to our brothers in arms Matt 'on drums' Woolhouse and Mano 'undercut' Lygnos. We thank both members for their dedication to the bands hard earned success and wish them strength in their future endeavours. That said, Desecrator are hella proud to announce the addition of Jared Roberts (drums) and Paulie Tipping (bass) to complete what is our strongest, most focused and tour hungry line up yet. We look forward to bleeding your ears out on the road in support of our new record later this year. Til Death.

postlifedisorder.pngPOST LIFE DISORDER OUT OF HIBERNATION FOR DEAD OF WINTER

Brisbane sludge metallers Post Life Disorder are coming out of hibernation for their first show in over 2 years, bringing their angry thrash and doom to the Dead Of Winter festival on Saturday 13th July.  With reviews for PLD’s live show including comments like “would scare Page Hamilton (Helmet) if he saw them” then this performance is not to be missed by any self respecting heavy duty music fan in Brisbane.

DEAD OF WINTER FESTIVAL – SATURDAY 13TH JULY, JUBILEE HOTEL

With King Parrot, Disentomb, Rome, Truth Corroded, Lynchmada, d-nine & heaps more… 45 bands/5 stages. Rock, punk, metal/Burlesque/performance art/stalls/horror theme.

The current Post Life Disorder lineup – original members Antz Palmer on guitar & Rudi Weber on drums have been joined by Mick Jeffrey on guitar (Widow The Sea) and Damien Palmer on bass (The Berzerker, Widow The Sea) – is proving to be the heaviest & tightest the band has ever sounded and PLD are ready to deliver a well overdue slab of their distorted rage and anger filled power-sludge and thrash!!

socialmedia.jpgMetal-Roos in social media

Unbelievable but Metal-Roos has still no Facebook page. Still, this website is generating quite impressive traffic while it's still not even fully developed.

After starting a Twitter account, we will add to Metal-Roos' social media portfolio the overdue Facebook page on Monday, 17 June 2013. Hope to see you all there. Like us! \m/

Our Last Enemy Touring

Sydney’s Industrial metal powerhouse Our Last Enemy have just announced the new artists added to their new Remix and Rarities release ‘Engineering The Enemy’. As well as a stack of local talent, some big name international artists will be joining in. Joining the already stellar line up of MORTIIS(ex Emperor), Angel (DOPE/TEAM CYBERGESIT), ANGELSPIT and our own THE BERZERKER are: Travis of DIVINE HERESY, DISMANTLED and Vinnie (ex GENITORTURES). More names are to be announced over the coming weeks and the release is set for a June street date.

"We’re looking forward to showing the harsh electronic side of things, that we love as much as metal. Industry insiders who have seen the artists line up and have heard the early mixes are already calling this the best Australian metal remix album of all time (maybe ‘cause there hasn't been many? Or…any? Haha)" comments the band.

The band is currently on the road in support of the upcoming release with fellow industrial heavyweights WITCHGRINDER.

alpinefault.jpgAlpine Fault's new vocalist

Alpine Fault are very happy to announce the arrival of our new vocalist Sam Wolstenholme. After a search spanning the globe from Brazil and Argentina to the US, Russia, Portugal and Japan and throughout Australia and New Zealand, Sam emerged from our very own back yard here in Brisbane.

Sam has been playing piano since age 5 and singing since she was 8. She studied classical voice at the University of Queensland and during her tenure there was selected to sing in various classical concerts outside of the University including a small Baroque opera.

Sam has been working professionally at various restaurants around Brisbane as a singer accompanying herself on piano. She's been composing her own music since age 15 and it was her original music, influenced by a love for bands such as Nightwish and Epica, which really sparked the interest of the band's members.

We're very excited to be sharing her talents with our home crowd in Brisbane next week as we support Eluveitie on their first tour to Australia and we sincerely hope to see you there to join us in welcoming her aboard.
