Ending Atrophy are a 5 piece Metalcore outifit hailing from Tasmania, Australia - home to isolation, monotremes, and metal brutal enough to explode a possum.

The band started life from high school seedlings as Solvent Intake, and after years of successful gigging the band took an indefinite hiatus in 2006. Three years later, with two new members and a less derelict name, they stormed back onto the scene and issued in a new era of sound, stagecraft and attitude.

Another line up shift was soon to follow, and after the newly consolidated line up was found, Ending Atrophy was stronger and more testicular than ever. As such those balls needed to be shown to the public, and during 2009-2010 Ending Atrophy embarked on a period of extensive gigging throughout the state. Their intensive live show has seen them hold their own with other high calibre acts such as Psycroptic, Five Star Prison Cell, Hand Of Mercy, Feed Her To The Sharks, The Omen, The Abandonment, Silverback, All Or Nothing, Separatist, Save The Clocktower, Incarcerate and many others.

2010 also saw the completion of Ending Atrophy’s debut EP, entitled `Boundaries.’ The EP combines all the best elements of modern metal, with a delivery that defines the power, aggression and passion that the genre deserves. The disc was recorded and mixed with Anti Trend Studios, with mastering handled by Crystal Mastering, resulting in a gooey sonic bliss that sounds better than a black metal band in a cave with a really good tape deck recorder. I mean a really, fucking good tape recorder.

2012 will see the rise of Ending Atrophy. A band that is more than happy to sit down and have a beer with you after they kick you in the pancreas with their ferocious live show. Trust us, you’ll need it. Your pancreas however, may not.
