Fenrir are a young Sydney-based metal band, fronted by classically trained singer and flautist Duncan Therkildsen Jones, they draw their songs from Old Norse mythology and Icelandic Saga. Combining the blitz-style lead of Anthony Ierardo, the black metal influenced Benjamin Smith, the old school rocker Blake Barnes-James and drummer George Delinicolis, founder and drummer for a popular Sydney death metal band, the group mixes the grandeur of Battle metal with the kick of 80's Speed metal and the intricate harmonies and counterpoint of 18th century classical harmony to produce a band careening from the depths of antiquity and screaming into the modern metal scene.
